S.P. (Sami) started his cymbalmaking in 2022 under the tutelage of Dave Collingwood while also gathering knowledge and  gaining skills from correspondence with some leading cymbalsmiths around the world and deriving inspiration from the history of this art.  In his production, being a pre-60\u2019s drummer himself,  Sami is leaning towards the tradition, especially the early fifties being close to his heart.<\/p>

Hailing from a family with many artists and craftspeople and coming from a background of being a writer for over 30 years (novelist, playwright, translator) and a schooled plus graduated luthier (2016), Sami nowadays resides in Sastamala dividing his working hours between these various forms of art.<\/p>

Before starting at this craft S.P. spent many years listening, playing, studying, buying and  talking  these beautiful instruments. He\u2019s continually  in close contact with some top drummers and has the privilege to closely study and get inspired by  their best instruments.<\/p>

SPARKN cymbals are Cafted from finest Turkish B20 bronze  blanks. The bells are hand-forged except when mentioned otherwise.<\/p>

Each cymbal\u00a0 is shipped FREE worldwide ( exc. the taxes in Customer\u2019s country). There are no returns, but each cymbal can be modified once during the first 3 moths after initial payment or traded to another S.P. Parkkinen cymbal of the same or smaller size witi no extra cost except shipping, or to a\u00a0 larger diameter one for a fee of 50 euros an inch.<\/p>
